Do you know that you have a real enemy? Spiritual Warfare is real. How do we know this? The Bible tells us.
John 10:10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.
1 Peter 5:8 Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.
Ephesians 6:12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.
The thief is our enemy. He uses the same strategies today that He used on Adam and Eve in the garden. He wants to cause us to doubt the goodness of our Creator and to separate us from each other and from God.
The Bible makes it clear that we are in a battle and describes our enemy. Let us be very careful to enter battles with the truth of God's Word. There are times that the enemy tries to convince us that our Lover (husband/wife) or Our Lover (God) is our enemy. Take some time to reflect on the above verses and if needed ask forgiveness for the times you have treated your Lover (husband/wife) or Your Lover (God) as the enemy.
